The Gower School Nursery serves a three-week rota of menus for both babies and toddlers to ensure variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Similarly, everything is freshly made on-site with an emphasis on tasty and healthy foods.
The Nursery School kitchen staff are Mr Marlon Spence (Chef), Mrs Marjia Ali, Miss Maria Pereira, and Miss Minara Uddin (Kitchen Assistants).
We ask parents to supply their own formula, which we are happy to mix as per your instructions. As recommended by the Food Standards Agency, we give organic whole milk to babies and toddlers from 12 months to two and a half years, and older children receive organic semi-skimmed milk. As always, we use only fresh organic milk supplied by Red Tractor farms.
We always follow each child’s weaning programme and facilitate each stage for babies. Our nursery encourages children’s independence and supports Baby-Led Weaning as required by parents. We introduce food to babies at their own pace and work with parents to do the same as at home. Hence, all our purées are cooked from fresh ingredients by our school chef.
