Nursery Fees

We accept Childcare Vouchers, Tax Free Childcare and Workplace Nursery Schemes as payment.

The Gower School offers the government funding of 15 hours* for children between nine months and four years old for qualifying parents, effective from the term after the child’s relevant birthday. The government’s eligibility rules for funding 15 hours, are that for children aged 9 months to 3 years, both parents must be earning between £167 per week and £100,000 per year. From 3 years, all children are eligible.

Children aged 3+ in a pre-school classroom may alternatively attend for 5 core days per week of 9am to 4pm, at £1269.00 per month.

Fees are inclusive of food and drink, specialist tuition in baby signing, Yoga, IT, French, mini-tennis, football, singing, drama, guitar and movement, and most trips. Parents are asked to provide babies with formula milk. We provide Real Washable Nappies, organic milk and filtered water.

Fees are calculated based on the 48 weeks per year that The Gower School is open, spread across 12 equal monthly amounts shown above, payable in advance by Direct Debit. Additional hours are £15.95/hr (regular booking) or £20.50/hr (ad hoc booking). Extended care 6-6:30pm is available and charged at £13 per session (regular booking) or £18.50 (ad hoc). Parents can assess their eligibility for accessing funded places and the application process by visiting the Government Childcare Choices website.

Whilst the Government funding is structured for 38 weeks of the year (term time), our places are for 48 weeks of the year and so the funded hours are stretched over the 48 weeks that we’re open. Applied over 48 weeks, the funding equates to 11.88 hours per week. The nursery is closed for 5 staff training days each year; dates are notified in advance and are displayed on the school website. These are working days for staff and fees include this investment in our staff.

Full fees are due from your child’s first settling in day. A 10% sibling discount will apply to the lower fees. Overpayments refund admin fee £15; Late payment of fees £25; Late collection/early arrival £1 per minute. Returned Direct Debits £5. Registration Fee (non-refundable) £50; Deposit (refundable as per T&Cs) £1000. We offer a limited number of places which are absolutely free at the point of contact, for 15 hours a week, 38 weeks per year only. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details.
